I'm looking for the name of a specific type of edit--something common in documentaries where there is an edit in the dialog but no B-roll. As an example, it occurs in this interview at 3:10. A perhaps better example is in the same video at 3:22. (Also at 3:50). Thanks in advance!

That is just a Cross Dissolve Transition.
ie a Cut in the clip with a transition. Probably cutting around a glitch.

That looks like a bad result using morph cut in Premiere Pro.

I'd agree with Shooter. This is an awkward edit best avoided if at all possible.
