Hello! Is there a way to add description to Bins? I see it's possible to do this for clips, but not for bins themselves.
Cutting a project with multiple scenes (labeled as: 116, 117, 117A, etc...). Would be super helpful to be able to add a short description for each Bin containing all the shots.
Thank you.

Renaming the bin is not an option?

For the same reason that I don't rename my clips by adding a description to their names, I'd love to not have to do this for my bins. I can do this, but it clutters my workflow especially on a large project with many scenes.
Having separate columns for name and description seems like an ideal tool for any type of bin and/or clip.

Alas no description for bins.
But then a bin is not an asset but part of the UI.

Thank you. I see someone else has already posted this same request. Hopefully Adobe can implement this feature in the future.

Just about every editor I know names their bins as part of their Basic Organization 101 thought process. In fact, most production editors I know have template projects with bins already named for Media, Audio, Broll, Graphics, and all sorts of things.
Many have them already with sub-bins.
I don't see why that's a problem, and it sure makes it easy for anyone sitting down to a project to know what's where.

Yes, I do this too. Basic Organization is key.
I'm asking to see if it's possible to fill out the description column for Bins, just as you can do for clips. I'm not interested in adding several sentences worth of description into the name column of a Bin, as this would clutter workflow and be difficult to navigate. This is function you can do AVID, but it doesn't seem to be available in Premiere.

This would be SO helpful -- the ability to give a bin a description in the metadata column. Renaming bins/folders is a poor option, as it disrupts pathways to original and backup files. I can color code (Label), but that has limited utility.
