Adobe Encore CS6: Error Message when trying to export project

Contributor ,

I honestly don't know where to post this but I do have a problem with Adobe Encore CS6.

When I want to export my Blu-ray project Encore comes back with the following error message:

AuthorContextCommands.cpp-1146

Any idea what I did wrong? It used to work prefectly in the past.

Thanks everybody for getting into this. It seems that I found the solution to my problem. One of the assets was produced in aa way it wouldn't allow Encore to export the project. It was an AC-3 audio file with another layout than 5.1. I re-did the file with the correct 5.1 layout and everything worked smoothly again.

In my old Encore notes, I never encountered an AuthorContext error. The .cpp suggests this is one of the often cryptic Sonic core error messages.

The only things to do about those errors was to figure out what was wrong with the project. For example, if chapter markers were too close together, it would throw an error with no hint as to the real problem.

If the error message had anything more to it, that might be useful.

I do not have a solution for this but

I would not dwell on this for long.

From past experience, I would make a new project except for the menu, as they are PSD files.

I no longer have Encore CS6.  I use Authoring Works 6.  In Premiere I export the file as H.264 Blu-ray(1920 x 1080).  The Audio and Video are not Multiplexed.  However, Authoring Works can Multiplex the files.  When you burn a Blu-ray disc, the video is not reincoded.  Authoring Works has a free trial usable for 30 days.  Encore CS6 has better menu selections.

Congrats on finding the issue and thanks for reporting back.

Curious: what OS are you running? And if Windows, using a compatibility setting? I thought I was, but I see nothing set (Win10). And Encore opened just fine.

I am using Encore on a Windows 10 machine. Please note that the error I encountered only happened when I wanted to export my blu-ray project, not when opening Encore.
