Adobe Premiere Pro CC- No sound effects folder anywhere?

Community Beginner ,

I have searched high and low and cannot seem to find a "sound effects" folder in Premiere Pro. All I have is audio effects and transitions? I know there used to be an entire folder of sound effects that came with this program? Any help much appreciated.

Hi B Elle - Premiere Elements has a sound effects folder, but not Premiere Pro. Premiere Elements is an entirely different software developed by Adobe that costs $99 and is separate from Premiere Pro CC. If you want to create your own sound effects folder for Premiere Pro on your personal hard-drive you can search and download from a service I use called FreeSound.Org You then can use the Premiere Pro Media Browser to search and import from your custom made Sound Effects folder. This is what I

Where have you seen reference to the sound effects folder? I've never seen this myself but am interested if it does exist.

I know in previous versions there used to be an entire folder filled with sound effect options, i.e.: door slamming, bells ringing, wind howling, etc etc etc... There was a long list.

And if you plug it in online, it kinda references it for Premiere Elements here: Adobe Premiere Elements Help | Adding sound effects to a video

But can't find this at all in my latest version of Premiere Pro CC. I know I have seen it.

Premiere never had sound effects.

Soundbooth use to have them now if you have Audition you can download a whole bunch of sound effects.

Ugh, I must be thinking of iMovie or GarageBand then (likely the only other two programs I probably played with on my mac besides my Adobe Creative Cloud programs and Apple Final Cut at one time...) And if they have sound effects and Premiere Pro doesn't I think I am finally about to throw this Adobe membership out. Thanks for your responses!

Just to dismiss a program of not having sound effects.....

There are loads of free sound effects on the internet.

And if you have Creative Cloud, you have Audition, which sound effects you can use in Pr.
