Adobe Premiere Pro CC playback display issues

Each time I open a project, the timeline is not playing on the selected Display screen. The display is selected in "Preferences", under "Playback", therefore it should be playing back on that screen. To fix the issue I need to unselect the chosen display in the "Playback" settings, press "OK" and then open the Preferences again and select the display again. Then the timeline plays on the display.
