AE Composition Black in Premiere

New Here ,

I have an AE composition that is linked to + replacing a clip in Premiere. It was working fine as I saved it over the last 2 weeks - showing updates on the Premiere timeline. When I finally finished the AE composition and saved it - I went to Premiere and it now shows up as black. It says the composition is online, but it's just black - the AE composition looks fine to me in AE, and i don't know why it's showing up black in Premiere.

Here are things I've tried:

1 - Check solo layers - not that

2- Update all software - didn't help

3- Clear cache - didn't help

4- Check layer visibility - not that

5- Preview showing video.

6- Changed to Full Playback resolution - not that

I'm new to AE - and was excited at how the dynamic link worked, until it didn't. I put so much time into this AE composition i really don't want to start over.

FYI - I found the solution / adding for others w/ same problem: I had accidentally turned my layer into a "Guide Layer" - just a check on the dropdown menu for the layer. All good now.

Instead of using Dynamic link, as a workaround, export from AE and then import into Premiere Pro.

Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
