Every single video in my bin is grey, the source monitor is grey, the preview is grey, and everytime I attempt to render or export Premiere Pro freezes. This problem occured upon restart, the first restart since updating to 2022. I'm assuming the uopdate is at the root of this problem, since I've never had this happen before.
I've tried changing the renderer, checked for GPU updates (I'm fully up to date), and restarting again. Nothing works.
Did you clear your cache files before starting the project? If not, dump all your cache files with the project closed. Then close and relaunch Premiere and see if it works.

Please tell us your system specs: OS version, Premiere version, amount of RAM, Hardware specs including graphics card.
One of the great features of Premiere (and the entire CC) is the ability to update without deleting the previous versions. This way, if things go south, you can quickly revert to the previous version. On the Mac, I always make sure I have a bootable clone that allows me to revert the entire system to it's previous state.

Windows 10 Home, 19043.1415
Premiere Pro v 22.1.2
32 GB of RAM
AMD Ryzen 3900X, Radeon RX 5600XT
Everything was working fine, even after updating premiere. I've been unable to export or play anything back since restarting my computer.

do earlier versions of Premiere work? If you had creative cloud delete the previous version (no reason to as far as I know) you can download the previous version that worked in the creative cloud app. And this may be a dumb question, but have you restarted your coputer again? Sometimes that will solve this sort of problem.

Hi there,
We're sorry about the poor experience. Have you tried resetting app preferences & checked if it's helping? Also, are you experiencing this issue with any specific project or with all the projects?
Thanks,
Sumeet

Clearing all media cache files and rendered files did the trick.
