Hey all,
After scouring the internet and these forums for help, I found nothing. Nobody seems to be having this issue.
I want to have some text tilt from top to bottom, as if it was hanging horizontally from a hinge and was dropped. I know that the tilt effect in Basic 3D should be the best option.
I adjusted the anchor point to be right above the text, and it works fine for basic rotation:
However, then I try to apply the tilt effect, Premiere seems to believe the anchor point is dead center, and I can't change it no matter what I do:
What the heck is going on here? This makes no sense. Clearly the anchor point is in the correct place - it just seems like it has a different anchor point for tilt which I cannot change or move.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

To add some more context, I tried the tilt effect with an image, and this time it will ONLY tilt around the center of the image - regardless of the anchor point. With the text, the anchor point for tilt was stuck at the center of the frame, whereas with an image, the anchor point is stuck in the center of the image.

I've answered in the other thread. But anyway ...
Without adding any effect other than a text box ... go to the ECP Graphics section.
Click on the "Anchor" line, which now makes the anchor point for the text box visible.
Hover the cursor over the anchor point in the Program monitor until you get the 4-way arrow icon next to it.
Now, drag the anchor to point where you want it to be. And the graphics in that layer will both rotate and size from that point.

Thanks so much for your answer! What do you mean by ECP Graphics? I'm a newer user, and still learning the lingo, so forgive my lack of knowledge.

Basic 3D has its own so called anchor point which you dont see in the form of a little blue circle.
It will always swivel/tilt from the centre of the frame
Basic 3D does not interact with the anchor point of the text or whatever element is present.
The only way to change this centre point is use the Offset effect above the Basic 3D effect in the Effect Controls.

The ECP ... is the Effects Control Panel. It's where you set the parameters for all the effects used on a clip.
So go to the ECP, to the Graphics section ...

Basic 3d's anchor point is dead centre.
If you want to change that use the Offset effect.
