Hello! I reacently started importing clips from an SD card straight to Premiere. When i drag the clip to the timeline and play it the audio matches the viedeo until the 3rd seacond, efterwards it slowley cuts of and the audio repeats and unsyncs. The Problem is not on the SD card, as when checked in the file on my computer it works perfect. The clips are filmed on my Nikon D90 to the SD card, then I extract all the clips straight to Premiere from the SD.
Has anyone had such a problem?
Is there a simple soulution that I am missing?
Thank you in advance!

Copy the entire contents of the card to your media drive and then import into Premiere Pro from the media drive.

Don´t import from SD card to Premiere Pro.
Copy the files from your SD card to a disk, internal or external, then import those file into Premiere Pro.

Hi again! I tried copying the clips to a folder on my computer but the problem is still there. I even tried to email a clip to myself, download it and that didn't work either. the files are named DSC_001 ect... Does it have to do with that? Is it something i have to change in premiere? I haven't had this problem before, it used to work before.

Try to close Premiere Pro and then press down the Alt-key while launching Premiere Pro again. This will give you the Reset options dialog. Check Clear media cache files and click Continue. Open the project with the clip/s and do nothing until all clips have been Conformed in Premiere Pro. Use the files you have copied from the SD card.
Did that help?
I see now that the clip in the first post here is filmed in Stockholm, Sweden, outside Globen. That´s just a couple of kilometers from where i live! 🙂

That didn't work either... It is so strange, ive never had this issue before, it has to be something about the .AVI files that my Nikon camera records, or it's something in the Premier app. I even tried reinstalling and that didn't work. Could it be some setting on my camera that has to be changed?
Cool that you noticed the location! Yes I live near Skarpnäck and me and my buddies hit local skatespots around Stockholm. Where do you live?

.AVI can be an issue and something worth trying can be to change the extension from .AVI to .mov to see if it works. If that fails as well, try to change it to .mp4 and see how that goes. If there is an option in the camera to use another extension that AVI i would try that.
Do you have a short AVI clip you can send me via PM or upload here? It would be interseting to see if the same thing happens here and maybe find a solution.
I live in Västertorp, near Fruängen. 🙂
