The segment plays individually, and it played before when I imported the entire set of 19 video files.  But when I dropped it into the existing timeline, the video portion turns red (audio line stays normal, and the video does play).  Other clips dragged onto the timeline (so far) haven't had the same problem.  Takes maybe 45 mins to render  this bad boy, and the red line disappears, but audio drops off after a few seconds.

Sysinfo, drives, disks info included below.  No crash logs in windows.  But there are 2 "events" errors "Unspecified drawing errors" from today randomly

I've now deleted the rendered section, re-adding does the same thing.  Should I somehow import it into the timeline instead of dropping it in?  Is there something else I can try?

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Hand brake to convert to constant frame rate:

Is this related?  I just sat down to start editing and saw the timeline all red.  Can someone tell me where to find out what's going on in my timeline?
