Anyone else having trouble with keyframes not locking to horizontal movement when holding the shift key then clicking and dragging the keyframe in the timeline?

Never experienced this before and now the keyframe moves vertically by a few decibles when I'm trying to lock it to horizontal movement in the timeline.

I've moved this from the poorly named Community Help forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Premiere Pro forum so that proper help can be offered.

I noticed this a couple of days ago. Thought it was me......

Will ask around.

Workaround would be the Effect Controls.

Yep... I've noticed it too. Between this and the auto-trim mode thing this update is really fun.

This is so frustrating, and really affecting my work flow. Do Adobe respond to these issues?

Yes, having this exact issue too with Mac OS 10.14.3 and a Mac Pro 2013. I can't work out how a bug like this gets past beta testing, when you'd notice it in the first hour of using Pr 2020.

On my system, as long as the cursor doesn't move much up or down, the audio keyframes stay at the same level as I'm moving sideways with them. If the mouse/pen does just a titch more "vertical" movement, the keyframes jump vertically.

I've noted that when I try to pull them back, they seem to 'snap' back into place if I'm close to the original cursor "vertical" position. But it's still annoying. Slows things down a bit.

Same issue, super frustrating.

This one is driving me insane, it's creating a ton of inconsistencies in my audio mix. It seems like a relatively simple bug to fix, given it has worked the same as long as I can remember.

What good is an acknowledgment from an "Adobe Community Professional" in the support community if there's no fix or any indication that a fix is coming?

ACPs are not staff ... we volunteer to help around here. We help as we can, which in general is rather a lot.

Adobe doesn't give out expected drop dates on updates or patches  ... ever. Corporate legalese decisions. So we ACPs are in the same boat as you.

And yea, this is a maddening issue. Which is why the suggestion was made to go to UserVoice and hunt up other posts on this and upvote them

The engineers DO read every flipping post filed, and the biggest problem one of the engineers who does that complained of to me at MAX was that too many reports don't give enough details for them to figure out even exactly what the issue was.

Give them precise details, hardware, media, effects, and what you were doing when X happened. Plus what you expect was going to happen.

Besides getting to the engineers all posts there are collated and sent to upper managers who decide budgets and such. Adobe lives by metrics. Bury them in metrics ...

Neil is correct.  ACP's are not employees and have no insider knowledge about future releases.  Be nice to them as they are user too.  Well, be nice to the empoyees too.

This should be fixed in the next patch.  It is fixed internally.

@Matt Stegner,

Today Prem Pro updated without permission.

Yes, the "always update" in cloud app also tuned on by itself...wow.

Well, my audio keyframes are crazy:

when I click on the keyframe buton to create  a keyframe, it sturggles to work (it's not snappy anymore).

Then when I move two or three frames to create another audio keyframe, the previous audio keyframe I just created deletes.

I have to click 4 or 5 times elsewhere in the timeline and come back to the clip to create the next audio keyframe.

Is this just me?

I've not seen this, but that doesn't mean it isn't an issue.  Can you send me a project that shows this issue so I can investigate on my end?  Just a project file will work for now (no media, jsut the .prproj).
