Audio spikes when I click in and out of Premiere

Hello,

I didnt have this problem until about a month ago and I can't seem to fix it. When I open PP my computer audio levels spike to 100%. I usually have to turn it down from there. When I open another window (like my internet browser or anything else) and go back into premiere, the audio levels spike again. This is non-stop and it only happens with Premiere.

• What type of media files are you editing (codec/ format, frame rate, frame size)?
• Are you seeing this issue with a particular project?
