Hi, since I can remember, I've always had to go to Preferences > Audio Hardware and manually change the output audio if I want to use either speakers or headphones. Nevertheless, my girlfriend also uses Premiere on PC, and today I learnt that she has no trouble with this, and her Premiere automatically switches the output audio when she plugs or unplugs headphones.
I've read a couple of threads on auto switching the output audio from speakers to headphones, but 100% of them will only talk about Mac. I've seen also a couple of tutorials for fixing this issue outside Premiere, but again, it's all for Mac devices. Maybe this is not a really common issue on PC?
I use a sound card, I don't know if that might have an effect on the issue. What can I do?
Thank you for your time.

Does your girlfriend also use a separate sound card, next to the built-in sound card on her PC?

Nope, she doesn't. But I THINK I discovered the issue. Her headphones are jack input, mine are USB. We tried my headphones in her laptop, and she had to manually switch too.
So I guess we have to change the subject... is there a way to make Premiere Pro automatically detect USB headphones?

From the behaviour I am experiencing on my system. I think it auto switches alright in case you use one audio output and switches it by unplugging one and plugging the other. It goes out of callibration if you are using two ports simultaneously.
