Hello, i have good encoding in H264 for a HDV cam ...
But when i encode the videos XDCAM EX at H264 the videos come out pixelated and blurry ...
I am using the same profiles for both ... a perfiles with low bitrate.
I do not understand why XDCAM EX videos come out so bad ... the sequence is put in correctly set up xdcam ex like the file ...
I am thinking that the only difference is that they carry the color to 4.2.2.
Do is it possible that you have to transform the color from 4.2.2 to 4.2.0 before encoder?
Someone could help me?
Thank you

I'm wondering if the key comment is that the original videos from the camcorder don't have the problems the exports from Vegas 11 are showing now.
Sorry, but I am not familiar with Vegas nor it's output capabilities.

Hola Neil,
Is there anything that can be done or some plugin that you know to prepare the videos for a better compression in h264?
Thank you man !

I don't know how much material you're needing from Vegas 11 ... it's an older version, are you still using it or getting materials from someone using it?
It would seem avoiding it is maybe useful but I know best option is not always possible. I wouldn't know if re-exporting out of Vegas from the original project is possible or if you can recreate the materials in PrPro.

Sorry ... my fingers mis-typed and I didn't catch it ... meant to say I expect that from seeing the dialogs we'd figure out an answer. I do note you have two export boxes with 960x540 and one same to your sequence ... but you comment there's noise by the logo area. Is the logo/graphic the part that is pixelated/noisy?

Hi Neil, thanks for answering me.
As the videos have quality problems, and if you also notice a lot around the watermark like noise and pixels too.
There are quality issues too when the watermark is not set.
These are editions made with sonyvegas11 and taken out with the same source format ... but the same original videos from the camcorder do not give these problems.
I do not understand why.
Those profiles of AME have always gone well for me.

My EX cameras record interlaced (50i) at the full HD resolutions, make sure your sequence and export settings match if your material is also interlaced.
