My problem is that I use the Youtube 1080 HD preset but for some reason it looks terrible at youtube. I have tried a lot of things but have now idea why it looks bad (it looks bad when you see it at 360 in youtube) but when I see other people videos at this resolution they look good.

Including a screen-grab in your reply of your sequence settings and the Export dialog box with the settings you used would be very helpful.
And a screen-grab of a frame of the project in the Program monitor and one from YouTube also ...

Your settings look pretty normal, I'm puzzled at the YouTube result myself. If you import that file back into PrPro does it look good?
And ... after exporting you took the file and uploaded to YouTube ... what settings did you use there?

Yes when I Imported back it looks good! I have no idea why this happen with youtube. Because when I reproduce the file in my computer it look gorgeous.
I am not understanding the last question, what youtube settings? In youtube the only way that it looks good is in 720 or 1080. But when you see it en 360 or 480 it looks awful I know that should be a downgrade using this last to modes. But they shouldnt be that bad looking because when I see other videos at youtube they dont look this way.

Don't you have settings on your YouTube channel uploads?

I just tested, using the basic YouTube 1080p export without adjusting anything, and after upload it first showed in 480 in the YouTube viewer, so I clicked the viewer settings icon, selected 1080, and it showed up beautifully.
Note, I used a bars test calibration image, and my upload viewed perfectly correct for saturation/gamma/white/black levels.
So ... I can't replicate.

I guess you know that using the default settings for you tube export is your best bet ( as mentioned earlier )
Also, if you view small video resolutions ( 360, 480 ? ) with you tube at FULL SCREEN on a HD monitor, it will look pretty terrible.
Have you fixed it ? I couldn't sleep last night, worrying about if you got it fixed !

YouTube is a right ... pain. They do a double-encode process, and if your vid gets the full double-encode, it looks fine.
However, for some reason, some vids only get the first encode step, which is ugly. They used to have a "retouch" or "edit" option, I've not worked with that in some time. But if you invoked that option so you were in a screen where you could change the look of your video, then just 'saved' without changing anything, YouTube would do the other part of the encode.
May still be a workaround ...
