I'm trying to choose an intermediate format to output from Premiere Pro / Media Encoder to feed into the various tools I use to prepare video for YouTube, Facebook, and other sharing sites. I find the built in H.264 encoder to be a little... wanting. Outputting lossless is not possible due to the size of the files and amount of video that we have.
At the moment, I'm using very high bitrate H.264, about 100mbits, and then using that, but I was hoping for something better.
Are there any suggestions.
On a side note, there is x264Pro which I have paid for, but which is buggy and unreliable and the developers appear to be totally unresponsive to email.

Hey Mr Naz
If you are on a Mac then you might consider using Apple ProRes 422.
If you are on a PC then you could look at using Cineform.
The data rate for both is approximately 145 mb/s... both are intra-frame wavelet codecs and should give you far superior high quality intermediates.
Hope it helps
Andy
