I get black bars on the side of my video after exporting. It looks full screen before I export it though. Does anyone know how to fix this?

This would be because of a mis-match in your sequence and export settings.

So ... make a screen-grab of your Export settings dialog, another of your Sequence Settings box.

Click the picture icon on the formatting bar of the reply box to add images to your reply. Then drag/drop the two images onto that dialog so we can see the settings. This is an example of the Export dialog box ...

Thanks Neil!Below are the settings. I know this is a broad question, but what settings should they be so it fits the full screen?

4000x3000 ... that is 4:3 aspect ratio, the same as old CRT TVs. Most video players will show a 16:9 aspect ratio as their standard "space".

I would expect that reimport it into Premiere and it will show without bars.
