Blurry text and vector graphics during playback and exporting

Community Beginner ,

I'm working on a 1080p project in Premiere Pro 22.1.2, on a Mac OS 12.1.

Sequence: 1920x1080, Square Pixel 1.0, 24fps

Footage is shot at 4K, and sized down 50% to fill the 1080p frame.

I'm adding text and graphics as layers over the top of my video.

The Problem —

During playback, in full resolution, graphics and text become pixelated.

During render, text and graphics become blurry.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

I believe I've figured out the issue.

Yes, playback resolution was set to full.

The solution:

I've got a 4K monitor, but my sequence is set to 1080p.

I had my playback video set to Fit. So working on my big screen, my workspace is pretty large and the video playback shows larger than the 1080p, so naturally the image became a bit soft when rendered. I changed my playback video to be displayed at 100%. Once rendered, all graphics were crisp.

Thanks for your help!

If you pause playback does the text sharpen up? It might be your computer not keeping up with the playback and the video may be fine.

Thanks so much for responding!

Yes, text is sharp when playback is paused. When I render it out and export it, the graphic text is slightly blurry. Not crisp and sharp like it should be.

Is your playback resolution set to full?

Playback res 3.jpg

That might fix the playback issue.

If you could post a screenshot of your export settings that might tell us more aout the export softness.
