In the latest version I'm able to crash Premiere every time I make changes to a sequences setting - e.g. put in a new frame rate, change field order etc.

This is a known issue that we haven't been able to tackle yet, unfortunately. I've increased the priority and will ensure that the fix will be in the next release (I'll post here once the fix is available in the beta builds). My apologies for the inconvenience.

I'm having the exact same issue. It's almost too common for it to be a random glitch, it's happening each time.

I have the same problem. Even with the 14.7 update there is no improvement - going back to 14.5!
I am really disappointed with this fact, which disrupts my workflow massively!
There is no crash file about this error in the folder.
Adobe team - finally solves it!

14.8 doing it as well - when I create a new sequence then drag footage in (which is different settings) and press 'Change sequence settings' - Premiere hard crashes.

I reverted back to 14.5 and issue is fixed.

Changing frame size causes frequent (but not consistent) hang / force quits for me in 14.8 build 39

I disabled CUDA and thought that fixed it for a hot second but was able to replicate the hang in Software Only mode as well.

Having this same issue, I can change one sequence no problem then the next time I try it freezes. Very, very frustrating. Started after updating other CC apps. Have tried older versions of Premiere but get the same results.

Having same issue here. Mac running Catalina 10.15.7. With the latest version of Premiere version 15.0.0 (build 41).

Happens if I change any sequence settings, like frame rate or frame size. I get the beachball. I make sure I save before I try, but most of the time I have to force quit and start again.

It doesn't crash every time. Crashes about 2 out of 3 attempts to change sequence settings.

Please fix this Adobe!

Never had this with PP 2020, but 'upgraded' to PP2021 and now can't change sequence settings. Getting really infuriating.

Hi, everyone. Sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I have been unable to reproduce the problem. Could someone who can hit this please submit a crash report and then e-mail me (jschroed@adobe.com) with/from the e-mail address you include with your crash report? I can use that address to look up the crash data and investigate. Thanks!
