Can I properly export a premiere sequence if all linked files are missing?

Is there any way to export a sequence if all original linked files are missing? I know that once you lose access to those files, you can no longer edit the sequence, but I was wondering if I could somehow properly export the same sequence?

When you import footage into Premiere it creates links to original footage, Premiere does not embed the footage, so there is no way to export your sequence if you don't have your clips.

You can still export your sequence but there will be no videos in it.

Hi kenzab,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you want to export a sequence with media being offline or unlinked in the project. You will be able to export it but the exported file will show the media offline window during playback.

Thanks for your response marer1976 . I totally agree with what you have written.

@kenzab, please let us know if you have any other question or if this answers your query.

Thanks,

Shivangi

Short answer, no you can't.  The media must be linked to get a usable export.
