I don't really want the disks chattering away as I shuttle around on a MultiCam clip in the source viewer - to that end it would be good to be able to have it just show one angle (with the option to view the multiviewer when needed). Is this possible? Or do I need to go and file another feature request?
Thanks
Opening a Multicam Source sequence in the Source Monitor will show all angles. There is no way to turn that off.
Actually there is - I can right click in source monitor and 'disable multicam' - which is perfect as it shows just the top most track in my MC sequence - which is a multiviewer of all the cameras. Cut with that, then enable multicam in the timeline clips & switch cameras once editorial is done.
Thanks for helping me find it!

But viewing Multicam Source sequences in the Source Monitor is not a common work flow. What is it you're trying to accomplish?

Thanks for the reply Jim.
My workflow is to sync all cameras, usually by timecode, then use the resulting MC sequence as a source to cut into my timeline.
As the source is often 5xcams of AVCI, the RAID struggles shuttling around.
In avid you can toggle quad/9-way split off/on in the source monitor.
How else do you use a Multicam sequence in PPro?
