Can't change font size in stock lower thirds

Aug 06, 2023 Aug 06, 2023

I'm looking to use a lower thirds for a simple edit for still images. I went into the essential graphics tab and clicked on Browse until I found one called "Sports Lower Third Side". I brought it over into the timeline and was able to edit the text style and color of the graphics but not change the font size in effect controls. How do I go about changing the font size for the font I want to use as it cuts off as well as the graphic?

As that lower third doesn't have any user controls for sizing, you can't ... within Premiere.

But if you loaded that into AfterEffects, you could go into any control, make changes, even add the ability to change them back in Premiere. The free book provided by Adobe I list below, shows how to do all that and much, much more. Quickly, easily, without needing much of any knowledge of AfterEffects.

Best is to edit the mogrt in the EGP instead of the Effect Controls.

Even in EGP to change the font size is not there which is weird as it shows the same parameters in Effect Controls as well. I'm updating to the newest version that just released and see if it was a bug or something.

Oh, but a couple minutes in that book and adding something ... and you'll be started adding things in any mogrt you ever get ... it's actually pretty easy.

And Holy Cow ... the things you can add in AE to control in Pr ... wow.
