Hi - I downloaded an Illustrator image that I'm trying to use in Premier Pro (and I want it to be transparent). I exported it to a PNG file, but when I bring the file into Adobe Premiere Pro, the image is showing up with the "grid" (transparency) around it, rather than just as a transparent file. I've tried to save it as RGB, and I've unchecked "ignore alpha." Any tips on what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you!

You should see the transparency grid in the source monitor if you have Transparency Grid selected in the Source Monitor Drop down menu (the wrench icon at the bottom right of the monitor), or if you place the image on the timeline with nothing beneath it with Transparency Grid selected in the Program Monitor drop down menu (the wrench icon at the bottom right of the monitor).
Are you saying you are seeing the transparency grid when you place the image above another image on the timeline?

If you click on the wrench icon in your program monitor (or your source monitor) you can see there is a menu choice for "Transparency Grid". You might see if it's selected. If it is and you deselect it then your grid will disappear. See attached GIF.
