Hey
I was recently animating some logos with after effects, but after exporting them with the media encoder I found that I couldn't view them; if I click to open them it simply has the windows media player logo and the length of the clip, but if I click play nothing happens. However, if I place that file into premiere pro then it looks as though it has exported perfectly - until I export it from premiere pro (not the media encoder) when it stops showing up again. So, I can't play the file as normal, but I can view it when I put it into another project.
I spoke to the colleague whose computer I was borrowing (it's the only one that supports adobe programs so we both use it) and the same thing has apparently been happening to her no matter how she exports - quicktime, mp4, etc...
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!!

By "putting it into PrPro" I assume you mean you import that exported file into PrPro and play it back?

Yup! So the project I'm working on right now (though the issue is with all projects) is an animated logo to be placed over videos, when I export the logo I can't watch it, however when I test it over footage in prpro it appears as though it has exported perfectly

Are you exporting this as a video clip or as a mogrt?

as a video clip

And is it just the graphics/mogrt that you're exporting as that video clip?

yep! but the issue occurs with all projects at the moment, regardless of the initial format - though they are all +exported as videos if that helps!

Windows Media Player is very limited in the codecs it takes, and the bit-depth as noted by Mo. I second his comment about using VLC or also PotPlayer, as they are vastly better players and handle a wider range of media. I have both on my machine because some format/codec options will play in VLC and not Potplayer and vice versa. But between them, they'll play most anything.

Hey! Here're all the settings used, though the issue appears to happen with everything we export so if you need anything more in-depth just let me know!

I see you are u using Cineform 12 bit as an export preset.
Can WMP display at 10bit?
Download VLC Player which supports and and all formats and let me know if you see it when played in there
Thanks
Mo
