I have this super hero flying by across the screen and then he actually makes the transition to next scene. Years ago I used to use the GVG DPM 100 effects box and it had what's called the trail effect. When you sweaked a knob is created a ghost image and the more you tweaked the more it looked like fairy dust.
So I'd like to make this super hero guy - when he flies by - to kind of have that effect. I don't know how to do it in Premiere CC.
PS - I'm not interested in doing it in After Effects nor downloading a widget or whatever. There has to be a way to make it with PP's native effects(?)
PPS - amazingly I could not find the DPM on YTV to show like what you used to be able to do with it. Oh well. Anyway, any help is appreciated.
You may be able to composite some free effects and keyframe the effects to follow the super hero, ProductionCrate has some free magic powers effects, some require a PRO membership which is just $49 per year, here is a link to their Magic Powers landing page: http://bit.ly/CrateMagicPowers

I don't believe this will be possible without a third-party plug-in.

Oh darn, OK. Just for the heck of it, do you know of any good free plug-ins?
