Cant import .mp3 file into premiere

I remember the day vividly; I was all set to put together a stunning video project in Adobe Premiere. Hi I had problems importing mp3 music onto premiere pro as well. I tried converting it to .wav and .aif as suggested in this chat and that didn't work. Eventually when i convert it to .mp4 that seemed to work. It seems like it works for everyone differently with importing music to premiere pro. You would assume it would be the same all around but apparently not the case, especially for me that is. So glad its working for me now.

Super simple just change the .mp3 to something else like .m4a and you're set. It works for me
