Clips in premier pro moving by themselves

Some of the clips in my timeline are jumping and moving by themselves in the program panel viewer. The movie I am making involves using a lot of layers, and one is choosing to jump to a different position (strangely outside of its selection box) at a certain point when other clips come into the timeline. For some reason when I try moving it back, black borders appear around some of the other clips. Any suggestion to why this is happening and how I can fix this would be really appreciated.

Thanks for getting back. Screencap 1 is of the original clip position. Screencap 2 is of the clip position 1 frame after when more layers are involved. Screencap 3 shows the faint black borders that appear when I try to move the clip to its original position. The clip in question is the faint green and yellow crane (which can also be seen in the colour panel for reference). I have already tried resetting the preferences but this did not seem to work.

Difficult to see as the screenshot are too small.

Faint black border might be due to the crop.

I have managed to get rid of the black borders, but this is a better view of how the clip is jumping to the left by itself, out of its selection borders.

Look for stray keyframes; images just dont move on their own.
