Hi,

Im quite new to Premiere Pro and AE and I've just encountered this problem I can solve.

I've got a project in premiere pro with a dynamic link to AE. Im using these coloured brushes but when I move between the programs the colour of the brush stroke is changing (not the pink background).

In AE:

In Premiere:

I've had a look at some colour management discussions and I changed my AE colour setting to REC.709 but it didn't change anything. I'm after the colour as it appears in AE so I imagine its a Premiere setting that needs to be changed but I'm struggling to find anything that could help in the settings.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you tried rendering the files in Premiere?

After you save in AE click back to Premiere, have the timeline in focus and press return/enter and see if the rendered file looks better.

When you say render in Premiere do you mean the whole project? Or just the piece im trying to use in the dynamic link? I really need it to be dynamic as there will be many more changes.

  • You can just press return/enter with the timeline selected to render what is there. If your timeline has a lot you can set in and out points around what you would like Premiere to build the video render preview file for.
