RED cameras split up it's files into bites, and Premiere is then clever enough to combine all these pieces into one clip on the timeline. Easy and very smart.
I have now got hold of a bunch of ProRes files from the new X5S DJI Camera. It does it the same way, only difference is that Premiere for some reason do NOT understand it's one clip even though they are named in sequels. 01, 02, 03 and so forth.
I chatted with a Adobe worker, but he could not help me and said the forums would be the best place.
Do any of you guys have any experience with this and can help me out?
Right now it's a pain, because all the drone files are segmented and can't be combined easily. Any workaround that is not to import all individual clips, but them in a new sequence, then nest them, and THEN add to my timeline? I would love not to do that 🙂
Here is an example of the files from the Drone. As you can see they look like RED quiet a bit, just .mov
Thanks in advance fellas

Hi Viktor,
How are you ingesting the files via Media Browser?
Thanks,
Kevin

So that would require me to copy the files over in a new folder, right?

Adobe has not yet encoded Premiere Pro to stitch together any type of QuickTime file. My guess is the QuickTime format simply doesn't support that option.
