How do we contact Adobe to make a formal complaint against their making the premiere pro difficult to use in ways such as making captions and enabling them? They have used their audist attitudes against the Deaf community by making captioning harder for anyone to create to make it inclusive for Deaf people! Because people find captioning tedius and difficult in prem pro, they are likely NOT to have captioning on their videos so thus this makes it exclusionary to the Deaf community! Who do we formally complain to about this bad programming by Adobe I.T. programmers that compromises our access rights? (AND our ability to use prem pro when we have paid so much per year to use this program!!!!! This should be illegal to make it too difficult to use when we have paid so much!) As it is, Premeire Pro is NOT user friendly, infact very much the opposite!!!!!!!!!!!

Aha thank you! Thank you both Ann and Richard. It's good to know the captions have been overhauled in the beta, hopefully it becomes the full new version soon. Will go and download the beta version now.

Captions have been a problem across most NLEs. Premiere's have been bad, but from work I do with others, it isn't the only one.
The assumption in broadcasting was that one was using purchased captioning systems and adding the caption files into Premiere's sequences. So it was assumed if one needed captioning, one got the plugins to do it.
Thankfully, they are finally vastly improving Premiere's internal captioning process. Like many others here, I've been pushing for this for years.
