Create MP4 multitrack videos

Community Beginner ,
Nov 05, 2016 Nov 05, 2016

I can import a video with multiple tracks to Premiere Pro without any issue. But how does one create a multiple audio track on a mp4 video export. I want to have it so I can create different audio options to play during the video. I'm also aware that only one track can play at a time when the video is played.

I want to do something similar to a mp4 that allows the selection of a language track.

Thanks in advance for anyone that can answer my question.

Create new Sequence with the right setting for separate audio

After you import your footage, Right Click on your Footage and click Modify>Audio Channels...

Place your footage in the timeline and in the Audio Track Mixer choose the channels for each Audio track 1-2,3-4,5-6...etc

this for the second track, do the same for audio track number 3 but choose 5-6 instead ... etc

that's when you export you can choose Mono or Discrete , MP4 by the way don't do Audio separate channels, Quicktime with cineform codec or other codecs capable to export separate audio

Thanks I'll look into what you listed but I currently am working with an MP4 is definitely capable of having separate audio tracks. As the file I import has 4 audio tracks which I want to export into the same format?

Or are you saying that Adobe Premiere doesn't export to MP4 with separate audio tracks?

Now if you are talking about channels they are a different thing I believe that's not something I'm really wanting to change at this point. I'm happy with Stereo at the moment.

Ok that seems to be in the ballpark of being able to do separate tracks but even when I do Quicktime it still doesn't give me the option to do another track/stream. So that when I play it back the consumer can change the audio track via the player.

It's a real pity that Adobe doesn't support multiple audio tracks in mp4 since I have recording software that does. Support opening it so that's something.
