Create video of text and images

Hi Everyone,

I'm wanting to make a video that has text and images appearing. It will have a static background image and music playing, then for example I want a paragraph to appear at the top, a few seconds later maybe an image appear middle left, a few more seconds then some text appear middle right, then everything disappear and some new text appear etc. Probably using some kind of fade in and out technique as well. Maybe I could add some text effects like shadow or outline.

What adobe program am I best creating this in or would I use more than one? For example would I write all the text in photoshop and put it together in premiere? Also is there anything to watch out for or that I need to consider?

I'm sure this is a very simple task I just want to avoid wasting time by starting off down the wrong route.

For the untrained, I would recommend Premiere Elements.

Thanks everyone who replied, I will certainly take a look at Photodex, they offer a free trial from what I can see so I'll have a play around with it.
