Creating a 3D rolling text in Premiere Pro?

Adobe Premiere Pro

Why is it so ridiculously difficult to create a 3D rolling text in Premiere Pro? I've had root canals that were more fun.

I don't want to download some after market add-on, I just want to find simple way to create a rolling title graphic like the old Star Wars movies. I guess I haven't found any new YouTube videos for the current version of Premiere Pro. I have PP on a Windows computer and on a MAC and nothings seems more drawn out and unsuccessful in creating what I'm trying do.

Any help? Suggestions?

Make your rolling text with the Properties Panel.

Nest and add 3d basic effect.

This is correct, but you don't need to nest to apply the Basic 3D effect - you can add it directly to the graphic.

It's not obvious, but there is an option that does appear in the Properties panel if you start setting things up the correct way.

@Ann Bensor @Stan Jones can easily help with that.

Although it's actually fairly easy to set a crawl up manually. I've done that many times.

I know you can apply directly to the graphic but in this case to prevent interfering with the scrolling.
