Hi all,
This probably is a long shot, but does anyone know if there is an automated, repeatable way to create titles like those in the screenshot below:
The title was 100% created in Premiere's title tool using the text and Rectangle Tools. It's simple and easy to do for a single subtitle, but it's impractically time-consuming to do for subtitles for a whole video. This is the subtitle format that the client I work for has chosen, so I have to find a way to make lots of these quickly.
SO, my question:
Is there a way in Premiere to create some kind of template that will create text with this white background behind it that expands to meet the dimensions as I type my text? I know this can be done in After Effects with expressions, but I need to use Premiere for reasons that are too complicated to get into.
If Premiere can't do this itself, are there any plugins?
Thanks for your help!
Best way I know is to use AE with expressions and use them as "live text" in Premiere: e.g., live text: Use Live Text templates in Premiere Pro CC
In AE I have made lower thirds with background boxes that use expressions to make the boxes similar in width (with some padding) as the text. If the text is longer, the boxes are longer, etc.
