Hello,
1/ I've got the CS6 Master Collection and downloaded the 6.05 patch for Premiere pro.
2/ I've been working under Win7/64 with i7-4770k till now.
3/ I intend to move o/s to Win10pro and i7-6700k.
Question : May I meet problems with this new configuration ?
Thanks

Don't move. Do a proper installation.
CS6 will probably work on Windows 10.

Thank you for your reply. But what do you mean by "don't move" ? This seems contradictory with "CS6 will work under W10".
Do you mean that it is the "move" from i7-4770k to i7-6700k that might be risky ? Tks.

That means you don't "move" a program, you do a fresh install so the Windows registry may be updated by the install program

Yes, naturally. It was a figure of speech.

There are so many that post on the forums that move (migrate) instead of doing a proper install and then end up with problems..
I just wanted to make sure that you were not among them ![]()

Thanks to everyone who replied.
Actually the reason I'm considering "moving" from Win7 to Win10 is that I had to install on a new machine still with W7/64 but get a black screen, no reading issue with Premiere.
I suppose this should be in another post but that is the reason why I also mentionned in my initial message "moving" from i7-4770k to i7-6700k (chipset Z170) which I suspect might be the cause of the issue.
That is why I balance between "moving" to W10 or change motherboard to keep the better power of i7-6700k.
Any hint welcome.
Thanks

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter
•nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
•ATI Driver Autodetect http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool
There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version

I agree and I updated my Quadro P2000 drivers although the disk one was not so old. I rather suspect some drivers for the motherboard to be updated. I must also mention that I used offline activation as this machine is not connected to Internet which means that I did not update Windows from my spare license dating from some time. But as an identical worked on former machine I'm not sure that this is the culprit. I try to keep as conservative as possible because new things bring new bugs as a rule.

Might, might not.
You wont know until you have tried it.
CS6 works on my machine W10/7820x/64 gig.

Two ideas that MAY help to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10
-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window
-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... this says Encore, but is sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account) so follow the instructions, substituting the name and location of your specific program for Encore

After many tests, I found out that the culprit was just the motherboard itself. I changed it and it works fine. So to all users who meet a black screen problem with CS6 Premiere this is the information to take into account. I suggest to anyone willing to make an installation on a new PC to make full tests before activating Windows and CS6 and then change the motherboard if needed.
My error was to make the test with only one monitor instead of the 2 I usually use. The problem occurs when 2 monitors are connected but not with one only.
I remind that the problem was that not only the second monitor turns totally black but that image is not displayed nor read in Premiere and on top of it, after having closed Premiere, it is impossible to relaunch it until after having rebooted.
