CTI (current time indicator) or playhead wants to lagg in cases when certain panels are open in Pp, watch the video.. I don't understand why ADOBE made it like that in Pp and that we users have to think which panel can remain open and which no, ..hopefully in future iterations it will be fixed...regards
Hi @STUDIO29K - Thank you for your help troubleshooting, I understand how frustrating it is going through all of those steps and I appreciate you sticking with it. Yes, Please contact AEJuice and let them know that .Qt6GuiAEJuice.dll file is causing Premiere Pro to crash in version 24.5. Please keep us updated and let us know what they say. Thank You!

Try lowering the Playback Resolution from Full to 1/2, then 1/4, then 1/8.
Consider using a Smart Rendering CODEC (namely ProRes).
Apply adjustments and overlays after locking the cut.
Render complex parts of the Timeline.

thanks...but...I'm talking about the user interface here...I have a powerful machine and why would I drop the resolution to 1/2..1/8 for a simple timeline playback and why do I as a user have to think which I will leave the panel open or closed so that my playhead will work... I want to do everything to the maximum, I want to edit in max resolution and not turn off half of the things in Pp(v 24.5) so that CTI works or so that I don't have lagg... after all, why do we "waste" money on strong and ultra-strong workstations, and we are forced to turn off half of the things in Pp so that it doesn't lagg... it's a bit ridiculous and pathetic, buy a new ultra machine for editing and put everything on half so that you don't have lagg, ha, ha, ha... let's be clear, I'm talking here about UI, and not about rendering, effects, codecs, ect... and I'm not going to put anything at half resolution, simply CTI in Pp it doesn't work when some panels are open, as I showed you in the video, it's just an 1example and please work on the UI...thanks

Hey there, @STUDIO29K,

I got it. That's a bad experience I see there. It looks like a fairly simple sequence, but I'm unsure of any effects you may have applied.
I hope the team can find the cause of this bug. Please provide information on the computer system you use and the media you edit with. The team needs to know your conditions to reproduce them and fix that specific bug.
I read your comments, and you said there are performance issues if only certain panels are open. We need a product team member to comment to get more details. I hope they will reply soon. If you don't mind, they may request more info or a project file from you.
I hope we can help you with this problem shortly. Take care.
Thank You,
Kevin

Hey there, @STUDIO29K,
Thanks for the reply. Excellent added info! I'm sure the team will like it. After showing your movie in a meeting with my support colleagues earlier today, I heard about a workaround: Can you try dragging your timeline out of the workspace so it "floats." Do you get timeline performance back regardless of which panels are open?
Please let the team know. I appreciate it!
Thanks,
Kevin

dear Kevin....
we still have problems that I pointed out as soon as they appeared... namely, from version 24.3 some projects do not open... with version 24.3 and all versions below it is ok... but above 24.3, including the last version 24.5, this is not the case ...you have everything in the video...even in v24.3 CTI works in all variants of the open panel except one, which is open (Audio track mixer), CTI works even when (Essential graphic) is open.... that's not the case in v.24.5... forward the video to your team and you'll see that v.24.3 opens the same project I wrote about in the above mentioned posts, and v24.5 doesn't... as far as I've seen, other users have also reported this problem...while taking screenshots i purposely did not reset PC when installing and uninstalling Pp versions...
greeting
and please....check MULICAM...from project to project it varies...sometimes it takes forever to open...sometimes it opens right away...thanks

Hi @STUDIO29K - I noticed that playback of CTI was normal whenever you had AEJuicepack panel in view. Can you try troubleshooting one more thing for us, Can you try holding down shift while launching premiere and select the checkbox disable third party plugins, you can also try to reset plugin cache when updating to 24.5. Let us know if you are still receiving stopped CTI playhead when switching panels, a video would help as well. Thank you so much for your help in solving this issue.

Please...watch the last two videos and and read the last two posts, you will see what I am talking about, AEJice is not a problem at all, neither are the other plugins, they are all legal, and they are...

Hi @STUDIO29K - I did watch your videos thank you for providing them. I specifically talking about your 24.3 - 24.5 video at 30 seconds where you click away from the plugin window CTI stops, then you click back into the window and CTI Playback starts again. This happens again at 1:10. I see when you update Premiere to 24.5 it crashes, this is why I suggest holding down shift while opening premiere and check the box to reset your plugin cache. Thank you for all of the info you have provided it is super helpful.

thank you...I tried resetting the plugin case and it's the same...Premiere 24.5 crashes, but everything is ok in version 24.3 and versions below...the error is in version 24.5...thanks

HI @STUDIO29K - Thank you for the info, Can you try one more thing for me. Can you try holding Shift and launching 24.5, but this time select the checkbox to "disable third party plugins (one time). It would be helpful for us to know if we need to reach out to a vendor and let them know that their plugin is crashing Premiere. If it doesn't crash you can select the hamburger menu in the effects panel and select manage video effects to turn on or off plugins. Thank you again for your help troubleshooting and provided information.
When updating versions it is also helpful to reset media cache can you let us know if you did this or not. I have seen errors updating from 24.3 - 24.5.

I tried as you asked and it doesn't work...I told you it was up to v24.5...in all other versions the project opens without disable third party plugins, reset plugin cache...ect
Errors...these are not errors, Premier reports what is missing from plug-ins and rendered files...after I emptied - Media Cache Database, Media Cache Files, Scratch Disk...then Premiere reloads the files and reports what is missing from plug-ins so I have to install them again and manually enter them on the timeline and link them and render them if necessary, and I didn't do that, so you see it as an error when loading the project... once again, thanks for your effort, but believe me, the problem is in v24.5....

So far it's ok, uninstalled AEJuice, started the project 7, 8 times and everything is ok, although opening this project is still slow, I know how the previous versions opened it quickly with AEJuice....the same project...
Now you explain to me...how this project works in lower versions with AEJ...from version 24.3 and below (you saw in the video when I installed v24.3), and in the latest 24.4.1 and 24.5 it does not work and it is slower opens....it seems to me that the problem is in the last versions of Premier (24.4.1 and 24.5) ....but, you will know better...
Would you like to contact AEJuce...
thank you very much
