Is there a method to choose whether to leave the part cut on the right or left selected? Currently, every time you apply CTRL+K or CMD+K the left side remains selected, can you get the opposite depending on your needs?

Thanks to those who will send me back.

Might need a macro of some sort to make this happen.

This is true, but it performs an additional action on the keyboard. However, it happened to me, but I don't remember how, that by using CMD+K or CTRL+K it was possible to decide first which of the two parts of the clip (whether left or right of the reading) should have remained selected after cutting.

I use Ctrl K all the time -- I also use W and K to trim, but many times I want the clip to stay in the same global position, so I will go to the spot and hit Ctrl+K, then Delete to remove the bit. HOWEVER, it is freaking maddening because it seemingly randomly decides to choose which clip is highlighted after CTRL K -- so probably 70% of the time it is to the left of the split, and 30% right.  WHY????????  I am flying through my edits and I hit these endless potholes of the software gaslighting me requiring extral attention, undos, etc. Just one more of the endless annoyances with this program.

The behavior is even more annoying, because right after the CTRL K, the left one may be highlighted, but in the next second or so it often switches the highlight to the clip to the right of the split--JUST BEFORE I delete or rename it--almost like it is anticipating what I want to do and then finds a way to frustrate me. I have to spend way too much mental effort and slow down my workflow to be on constant lookout for this extremely annoying behavior.
