I have been collecting my custom effects in a bin located in the Premiere effects panel but now it has disappeared. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Can you post a screenshot?

It was in this Effects panel. Is there a way to add it back?

If you made a back up you can import them from your harddrive.

Can you please explain how to do this?

and if you have projects that have sequences with the preset effects applied, you can retrieve them from those sequences. Never a bad idea to backup these sort of things to the cloud or an external drive just in case they disappear because of operator error (the voice of experience is speaking here) or an update or a hard drive crash.

Every preset I make is exported to the hard drive; just in case. Never lost one yet.

How do I restore these from a back up?

When I make a preset I export it to the hard drive. That is my back-up.
If you did not do that then you have no back up.

did you by any chance update premiere recently? If so, if you have the older version still installed, you can launch that version and hopefully the presets will still be there and you can export them and then import them into the newer version of premiere. It's possible that if you don't have the older version, you may be able to reinstall it using the creative cloud app and the presets may still be available (don't know, but worth a shot).

Unfortunately no previous versions are on this Mac. Is there any other way to get that custom bin back?

do you have any premiere projects with clips that have your presets applied to them? If so, you should be able to open that project on your mac and even if the media is offline, you should be able to save the presets if you have the clip selected and go to your effects controls panel. Make sense?
