Hi,
Using a PC with latest version of Windows 10.
I just upgraded Premier Pro to the latest version 12.1.12. Also updated Adobe Media Encoder to 12.1.12.
When I start an existing project, I get the error message "This Project was saved on another machine with ingest settings enabled. Click Ok to continue to use these settings.."
When I click OK, I get the error message "Adobe Media Encoder Not Installed"
Adobe Media Encoder is very much installed and all Adobe software are installed in Default locations.
I even downgraded PPcc & Media Encoder to the previous version but the problem persists.
Used to work perfectly before this update.
Please help !

Have you restarted your machine between these updates/downgrades? Try methodically restarting before and after updating.

3D - Dont use any security software other than Microsoft's baked into Windows 10.
4D - Not possible to only use Editing Premier Pro on my machine.
I have even uninstalled everything and then reinstalled it afresh. Same issue. Premier Pro CC cannot open Media Encoder for some reason.
Was working perfectly before I installed the latest update. This update it seems has broken something between the Premier Pro software and Media Encoder.

I figured the problem :-
There used to be numerous Presets in the Media Encoder.
Now only 8 presets are being shown. So, projects I had used other presets are now broken.

Please, when posting screenshots here, drag/drop then onto the reply box rather than linking elsewhere. Vastly easier to see and respond to.
The list you are showing is just the proxy creation presets, that was never a long list.
And should have no effect on the apps recognizing each other.
One thing that sometimes helps for this and is quick ... open Media Encoder first. Then open PrPro and after it's fully launched, do a Ctrl/Cmd-M ti set up an export of a short clip. Queue it to Media Encoder and see if it goes through. If so, your non-recognition problem is probably solved.
If not, sign out of the CC app and reboot the computer. Sign back in and it may now see them and they might see each other.
One time I did have to go full nuclear, using the CC Cleaner Tool to uninstall both PrPro and Media Encoder AND the CC App itself. Reboot, download and sign into the CC App then reinstall both PrPro and ME.

I know this is an older post but I came across this same error for the first time today. I'm on a Mac, OS 10.11. What soloved this for me was to also open AE. I had dynamic linked comps in my PP project. After I opened AE all messages went away and footage loaded.
