Downloaded transitions stopped working

Hi! Really needing some help!

I downloaded an awesome transitions pack for premiere pro on envato...the creator of the pack is premiumilk.  Transitions were great!  Worked for like 3 videos, and then they stopped working.

It used to be when I opened the project with the preset transitions, I would drag the transition on the timeline and delete the built in video (purple rectangular box) to the transition (thus my tracks already in the timeline would then have the transition applied to them) and would be left with two yellowish boxes.

But now, when I drag the transition in the timeline, I only get the video that comes with the transition and no way as far as I can tell to delete the video without deleting the transition as well.

I'll upload some screen shots to try and show what I mean...

Any ideas?  I've check and the sequence settings are the same..

Is it this that you need to turn off before you drop the transition?

I feel dumb....lol.  I had messed with that again and again and it wasn't letting me drop when I click that insert/overwrite sequence button...but just messed with it again and you're right!

Been wrestling with that for over a week...should've asked sooner.  Thanks so much for the help and quick reply!

I was looking around for my notes, I didn't find them. I believe you also might want to have to have V1 source patching off, that way you don't get the video.
