After updating to 12.1.1 all the drop down options in Premier are not working. For example when I click on the drop down for blend modes in the effects panel, nothing appears. I can't select an alternate blend mode. This affects ANYTHING with a drop down. This is also happening in Media Encoder and After Effects! Anyone run into this problem? I had to roll back to the previous version to get it working again.

I saw one other post about a Mac user reporting something similar. It only occurred on one menu, though, not all of them.
I can't reproduce it here in Windows 10 Pro (1709).

I think you needed to reset your applications. I find that if you move your preferences over to a newer version it causes problems. Try resetting the preferences.
1. Exit the application
2. Press and hold Alt (Windows) or Option (macOS) as you start the application. The
new preferences files are created when you start the application.
3. To restore default preference settings and plug-in cache at the same time, hold down
Shift-Alt (Windows) or Shift-Option (Mac OS) while the application is starting. Release
the Shift-Alt keys or Shift-Option key when the splash screen appears.

Hi, this appears to be an issue with external monitors as per another user. I've tried resetting to defaults and resetting preferences but no difference. Only unplugging my Dell external monitor enabled drop down menus to work again. Do you know if there is a fix coming for this?
Thanks Chris.

Same here, after upgrade a couple of month ago some layouts are working bad, drop down list is not working in media encoder. Not working at all in opacity mode inside premiere, and it doesn't work in export settings in premiere. Also when I call for a layout in workspace all the windows appears empty, only a couple of set are working but I need to arrange the windows everytime I open the apps cause they are in crossover or out of the screen.

Read on another thread that if you have a smart TV hooked up as a monitor or client monitor, that's what screws it up. That's what was happening to me. If you hover the mouse over the drop down menu and use the scroll on your mouse it will cycle through the options. Just won't drop down. Not a solution, but it'll do until Adobe fixes it.

Yeah I'm working on a laptop and when I unhooked my extra monitor the drop-down menus suddenly appeared. Annoying.

If you are using MacBook running on Mojave then use three finger option to select other available options in drop down.

I got the same issue and I realized it was because I was using a second monitor for my iMac, and I had configured Premiere to display only in the second monitor, so when I was trying to open any dropdown menu it didn't work. I set the app to be displayed in all the monitors and that solved the issue.

Thank you Secondariano3! Similar to you, I use two monitors for my Mac Studio and I simply dragged Premier to my other monitor and this resolved the issue for me. Hope this helps someone!
