When I open projects and click a saved workspace with dual monitors, everything only shows up on one monitor. I have to manually drag the other windows over to the other monitor every time. When I change a workspace, I have to do it again. Here are some images demonstrating this issue.
When I open a project and select a dual monitor workspace, it opens like this.
I have to manually drag the panel I want over to the second monitor. Every time!
When I switch to another dual monitor workspace both panels show up in on the same monitor and I again have to manually move it to the other monitor.
How do I fix this? It has been an issue for several years now and I cannot figure it out.
I've used multiple monitors for years, with my 9 custom workspaces.
There are a few things to know. First, you can't simply drag the Pr 'window' across mutiple monitors. You are correctly dragging panels over to a second monitor, so that's a good start.
However ... it looks like you moved the Program monitor to the second panel, and that's not usually a good thing to do. The Program monitor seems to need to stay with the main Pr 'window' panel.
Pr's main menu/"home" needs to be on the main

Pr's main menu/"home" needs to be on the main home system monitor in most cases, along with the Program Monitor panel.
Next, when sizing a second window "panel group" as I do, you need to ensure that there is at least one or two pixels of screen visible all the way around that panel group. As if that group goes even one pixel onto another screen, Pr gets fouled up especially on relaunching.
And apparently, if you put both the MediaBrowser and the Project Panel in the same second monitor panel group, the Project panel will stay in that panel group on relaunch. that was reported here a couple days ago.
I've always complained about the way the Project panel would jump back to the lower left quadrant panel group of Pr's menu screen in saved workspace use. Which is NOT what I want. So this seems to fix it, gonna find for sure over the next couple days of course.

That space around the window in the second monitor trick does it! Thank you! It's incredibly stupid, but I don't care. This it literally going to save me so much time.

Incredibly stupid ... well, can't disagree with that.
I've been arguing with the devs at NAB for YEARS that Pr should be able to recognize monitors as such, and simply have a two or three monitor layout setup BY MONITOR.
So each would be full-screen on that monitor, saved as such, and none of this futzing around crap would be needed.
It's not been seen as a big enough need to spend the time/budget to redo this bit.
