I'm running into a technical problem and I'm not sure what the root of the problem is.
2023 Macbook Pro
M3 chip
18GB of RAM
Currently running Sonoma 14.1
This is a company machine. The reason I mention that is I'm not sure if my company's security settings are what is preventing the Dynamic Link function from working.
Every time I try to replace a clip with an After Effects compositiong Premiere Pro freezes. I get the rainbow spinwheel and it gets stuck in loading. AE doesn't even launch. The same issue happens anytime I try to export by sending a sequence to Media Encoder.
My suspesion is that this is caused by some sort of permission and settings where the programs arent able to communicate to each other. Or perhaps it's something like a firewall setting that is preventing Adobe Dynamic Link from working properly. Has anyone else experienced this?
Looking for help. I've already reseted my profile back factory setttings. I'm hoping someone else has delt with this issue and can point me in the right direction.
Thanks
Hello @Nick37882485u2kt,
I got your bug report. Thanks! Your problem sounds strange, but I hope I can help you get back on track.
As a Mac user, these past few versions of macOS have certain "features" worth revisiting after each update.
Choose Apple Menu > System Settings. > Privacy and Security
Ensure that Adobe applications are set to "on" in the Privacy section under Full Disk Access. Check the applications under Files and Folders, too. Then, restart Premiere Pro.
I hope the advice helps solve

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for the advice. I tried the recommendations you mentioned. The problem is still persisting though. I keep getting the pinwheel of death anytime I try to use Adobe Dynamic link in the creative suite programs.

Hi, @Nick37882485u2kt,
I appreciate the response. I hope I can help you. Are you in an enterprise environment? Do you have Aspera software installed? If not, let me know. There is a bug with that software.
If not, try standard troubleshooting options, like using the Reset Options dialog box. Press the Shift key when launching Premiere Pro to get the box. Delete the media cache, reset preferences, and launch without plug-ins. Does that work? Let the team know. I hope we can help you shortly.
Thanks,
Kevin

I am having the same issue. Project from AE & Premiere will not go into Media Encoder and Dynamic Link between AE & Premiere is not working.
Computer Setup:
MacBook Pro M3 Max
Sonoma 14.6.1
My company does use Aspera so that is installed as well.
Everything is working on my 2019 Mac Pro
3.2 GHz 16-Core Intel Xeon W
AMD Radeon Pro Vega II 32GB
Sonoma 14.6.1

I uninstalled Aspera but am still having the same issues.

UPDATE: I had to install the original version of AE, Premiere & Media Encoder 24.0 to get Dynamic Link back to working on my laptop.
Again, no issues on my 2019 Mac Pro so I am guessing it has something to do with the M3 Max configuration.
