Dynamically Linked AE files and Packaging from Premiere Pro

In Premiere, I use dynamic linking to include After Effects compositions as I may need to edit this comps throughout the video editing process. After project completion I must package the video sequence for archiving. I need to package I create from Premiere to include these AE compositions (including the AI files imported into AE). I have run into the situation where in Premiere Pro I choose "collect and copy" and the files that are linked within my AE compositions do not copy (ie, AI files, etc). It sounds like consolidating and transcoding would convert those animations to "clips" or uneditable files in terms of animation. Do I need to package my dynamically linked AE files separately or is there a way to ensure ALL dependent files along the full workflow are included?

As far as I know, (and happy to know otherwise)--"chain" consolidation does not work yet. I usually create After Effects content dynamically (as you do) from Premiere and then I usually copy any importables into my AE or PR folders before import. You can also use the amazing RENDER and REPLACE (Right-Click on any single or multiple clips) to flatten dynamic content down in high quality file formats like Prores, Cineform and DNxHD/HR. Then you can use your Project Manager to collect or consolidate your project.
