Edit in Audition greyed out and also most sources not transcribed when I try and caption

I'm half way through a project. Yesterday I was able to edit in Audition and transcribe for captions. 
Today the edit in Audition is greyed out and most clips remain unsubscribed.
I'm on a deadline, this is not OK.

I shoudl have added Permier 24.6.1.(Build 2)

Try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Thank you. It hasn't fixed the Audition issue and I haven't tried the transription as I ended u subtitling manually.

Premiere may have updated but not Audition. Make sure both programs are on the same version to avoid compatibility issues.

They worked fine the day before and nothing had upgraded.

Which version of Audition should I be using with  Premier 24.6.1.(Build 2)?

And interestingly, the Audition issue fine in another project I'm working on, but not the one where if changed part way through
