Edit multiple Position keyframes at once

I'm creating an animation of a letter bouncing up and down on an image of a bed. If I decide to change the image of the bed to a different one, I will need to edit the bottom and top positions of all the "bouncing" keyframes so that the letter starts and ends in the right place on the new bed image.

In the Effects Control keyframe editor is there a way to mass edit the down & up position of the Y axis for all keyframes? I would have thought I just highlight all the down position keyframes and then enter a new y axis value (then repeat for the up position keyframes) but this doesn't seem to work.

Also, why when I select a keyframe in the Effects Control does the playhead not move to that position so I can see what is going on in the monitor?

Yes your right, As per my knowledge...You can't change the value of multiple keyframes in Premiere pro cc..So instead of changing the Y position value..you can change the Baseline value of the text which will help you change the value of text in Y Axis. Another way  would to nest the Text layer and than change the Y position of Nested sequence.

Ok, thanks for the workarounds. Editing the baseline value only changes the overall keyframe position value in relation to one another though (sometimes valuable), it doesn't allow you to reset a bunch of keyframes to a new value.

This is so strange - it is available in After Effects you simply select all the Keyframes and then edit the value in the Effects Controls. Not sure why they haven't made this available in Premier also.

Unless Adobe decides to make keyframes accessible in the Timeline as well as the Effect Controls, we'll probably never be able to do this in PR.

It is possible in After Effects for sure..but not in Premiere pro. I tried even from Timeline keyframes & Graphics Panel none of them work including Effects control . You can make a Feature Request/Bug Report Form to Adobe for that they can add it in future updates.

Do you have Selection Follows Playhead enabled?  This can be helpful to show clips in the Effects Controls as you advance through the Timeline.

nesting all the current layers into a sub-sequence doesn't always work;

This is especially true if the whole reason you're wanting to shift everything is because an element is being inadvertently masked because it's laying across the outer stage boundary - if you make that a subsequence, that still gets masked by the stage boundary of the new source clip

Premiere's animation toolset leaves a lot to be desired, and you will have to submit a feature request for this as it doesn't exist in Premiere yet.

For basic animation, learning a bit of After Effects can go a long way, especially given how tightly AE and Premiere are integrated.

I had the same question (7 years later 😅).

and while reading the solution it reminded me of the Transform Effect (Video Effects > Transform > Transform), and it does exactly what we want. Make sure it's on top of everything else in your Effects Controls window. Good luck!
