Effect control knobs freeze in premiere pro project

Dear Community.

I have a big re-occuring problem. My effect controls + upper tabs (effects, grahics, color etc.) freeze up. For example, I high light a clip on the timeline, and in my effect controls the little triangle doesn't unfold. Please, can anybody help with this issue?

As of last week, all of my multi-monitor workspaces won't let me twirl controls in my Effect Controls window.  Changing to a default single monitor workspace makes the twirl work, but that leaves my 2 other monitors with nothing to do.

I have had a tiny bit of success with a workaround, see if this helps you at all.  Oddly, the Effect Controls twirls become enabled when I change the width of my timeline window.  (I know, I know...)  In my case, my dragging the timeline window smaller, the other controls were able to work again.  FWIW, in my case if I twirl open a control, i'm able to adjust numerical values even when the twirl is stuck...

Do you have any nested sequence with audio in your Timeline? Try removing audio and report back, please, finn.

Hi Kevin,

I can't speak for finn, but I had a nested seq with audio---I deleted the audio & the twirls worked again, thanks for the tip!

Now I'm all set to make silent movies!

Just copy what's inside the nested audio and replace the nest with it
