encoding backwards is slow

Anyone know a way to speed it up? Sometimes I think it would be quicker to export as jpegs, renumber them in bridge and re-import, or re-encode in AME.

Also why is it so slow?

Do you mean a clip with reverse speed on it?

If so, it's an effect.  Effects often slow down render/export times.  This is normal.  To speed things up, you will need a faster CPU and/or faster GPU.

yes I do mean that.

Does anyone know why it is so slow? A reversed clip takes way longer to export than anything else I've thrown at premiere.  And this is encoding in an "easy" codec, not a long gop one.
