Error: Directory object cannot construct with this path

When I try to open Premiere Pro on my Macbook Air, it comes up with an error message saying that 'Directory object cannot construct with this path.' Can anyone help with this?

Would just like to update this to say that I have no plugins installed and I use a Macbook air using version 12.3 of MacOSMonterey.

Hi Harriet,

Sorry for the frustrating problem. See my response about making sure folder permissions are set to RW. If you're not sure how to do that, see this article. You can also check System Preferences > Security and Privacy. In Full Disk Access and Files and Folder, ensure that these are enabled for Premiere Pro v.23.
