I just got my M1 Max macbook yesterday (miracle I know with all the shipping delays).
I downloaded a lot of premium Essential Graphics on my old macbook Pro but I don't know where they are stored. How do I copy them and transfer them to my new Macbook? They are not in the Essential Graphics folder in my Premiere when I "Show Package contents".
I don't think they were ever synced and uploaded to Creative Cloud. I don't even know how to do that either.
any help would be appreciated

According to this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/motion-graphics-templates.html
Check out this directory: /YourUsername/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Motion Graphics Templates/

I have seen this path before in other threads and articles but for some reason I don't have any Adobe folder in my username library/application support folder. This is why I'm so lost

Install a random template and see if it will make the path.

Just to clarify, is downloading an Essential Graphics template from the library in my essential graphics Premiere tab the same thing as installing it?

No Adobe folder? Are you talking about your new M1 or your old MacBook? Also, are you looking in the System Library Folder or the User Library Folder?

I'm talking about my new M1 Max. In my User Library folder. There is an Adobe Folder but the only thing in there is a creative cloud link. But no other folders

On your old MacBook, can you navigate to that directory and copy all your Essential Graphics templates over to the same directory on your M1 mac?

My old macbook pro also does not have that directory either

Can you take a screenshot of that directory showing it missing? Make sure the Path Bar is visible. (Finder - View - Show Path Bar)
I don't even use Essential Graphics and that folder is there on my machine. Example of a screenshot I'd like to see
Make sure it's sorted by name - ascending

You are not in your Library folder, you are in your Home folder. You need to navigate to /Users/john.shin/Library
Here's an easy way to get to that folder

I don't have a library folder in my /users/johnshin.
I only have a library folder in my "macintosh HD" location.
Look at my screen shot. There is no library folder in my /users/johshin/ location

It's a hidden folder. Try pressing CMD+SHIFT+L in Finder so macOS will take you there.

ah....now I see it. It was CMD+SHIFT+period
ok so now I see my foldef but it's just the stock motion graphic templates that you have in Premiere.
None of the premium ones taht I downloaded from adobe are there. I'm wondering if there is an extra step I'm missing to officially install it.
I just downloaded it into essential graphics tab in premeire pro

Hi John,
Can you locate them in a Library in your new machine?

Navigate to that folder on your OLD MacBook, copy over the templates to your NEW MacBook. Same folder, same directory. You'll need to go to the hidden Library folder on both machines.
Then on the new M1, after you put the files in the folder, exit and reopen Premiere. They won't just show up if Premiere is open.

Also, navigate to your johnshin fodler, press CMD+J and click Show Library folder so it won't be hidden anymore.

I went to my old macbook and did the same, but the folders and its contents are exactly the same. It's all the essential graphics that comes with Premiere Pro. None of the premium essential graphics that I downloaded are in there either.

Ok, can you see those Essential Graphics on your old MacBook in Premiere? If so, can you Right Click - Copy to Library - Select your Library?
Then open Creative Cloud Desktop app, go to the Files tab at the top, then Your Libraries in the sidebar. Confirm your graphics are there.
Then open your M1 macbook and do the same - Open CC, check if they are showing in Your Libraries. If so, launch Premiere, open Essential Graphics and make sure Libraries are checked.
